Greetings, fellow pop culture aficionados, and welcome to week 13 of our I.C.Y.M.I. (In Case You Missed It) blog series. Our museum may be temporarily closed to visitors based on guidance from public health officials to slow the spread of coronavirus, but we're still here to recap a handful of trending tidbits from the past week in popular culture, in case you missed them.

Last Friday, reunions were all the rage, as casts of Parks and Recreation and The Goonies got together to treat us to some much-needed feel-good content for our quarantine lives. This week, we're all about setting world records. Let's get down to it.

Watsky Freestyles For Guinness World Record 33+ Hours

Bay Area-based artist Watsky broke the Guinness World Record for longest continuous freestyle this past week, and he did it all for a good cause. The San Francisco rapper, producer, and poet freestyled for 33 hours, 33 minutes, and 33 seconds, breaking the previous Guinness World Record of 25 hours, 56 minutes, and four seconds set back in 2016 by Pablo Alvarez of the Miami-bred group Good Bison.

Watsky's entire freestyle event was livestreamed online for fans and interested followers, who helped raise funds for the Sweet Relief Musicians Funds, a nonprofit organization providing financial assistance to musicians and music industry professionals impacted by the coronavirus shutdown. More than $140,000 was raised.

'The Mountain' Sets Deadlift Record

Be warned, there's a lot of yelling and grunting in the video above, but Game of Thrones fans may be willing to endure the noise to witness the feat of strength accomplished by Hafthor Bjornsson. Perhaps better known as 'The Mountain' to followers of the HBO fantasy series, Bjornsson recently set a deadlift world record, bending over to bring a bar-teetering 1,104.52 pounds (501 kilograms) from the ground to an upright stand.
