'Starship Troopers' (1997) Artifacts Installed in MoPOP's 'Infinite Worlds of Science Fiction' Exhibition

"Remember your training, and you will make it back alive!"

Fans of 1997's Starship Troopers may recall that iconic line from Lieutenant Willy, uttered during the visually and aurally powerful "Klendathu Drop" scene that saw Willy, commander of Willy's Wildcats, barking final words of encouragement to new troopers before his unit touched down for a bug planet invasion that *spoiler alert* doesn't go so well.

Failed offensive aside, the combat uniform and Morita rifle worn by Steven Ford as Lieutenant Willy in the film can now be seen at MoPOP. The costume, designed by Ellen Mirojnick, sits on display in the museum's Infinite Worlds of Science Fiction exhibition (courtesy of Bill Qureshi). Check it out below and, when you're ready, plan a visit to see it in person!
