Solvej Schou

Writer and Musician

Solvej Schou is a writer-musician and grandchild of Holocaust survivors. A former Associated Press staff writer and EW staff senior writer, she’s contributed to outlets such as The NY Times, and to the 2018 book Women Who Rock. LA Weekly named her fury-filled 2019 album Quiet For Too Long its album of the week. Solvej has a B.A. from Barnard College and M.A. in journalism from USC. She’s ArtCenter College of Design’s staff senior writer.
