Mortal Kombat (2021) Trailer Released
"Get over here!"
The first trailer for Mortal Kombat (2021) has arrived. Set to premiere April 16 on HBO Max, the latest film screen adaptation of the classic video game franchise looks to feature a similar plot as the '90s Mortal Kombat movie, with a couple twists.
Produced by James Wan, we see that Mortal Kombat (2021) highlights franchise favorites like Sub-Zero (Joe Taslim), Liu Kang (Ludi Lin), Kung Lao (Max Huang), Mileena (Sisi Stringer), Scorpion (Hiroyuki Sanada), Raiden (Tadanobu Asano), Sonya Blade (Jessica McNamee), Jax (Mehcad Brooks), and Kano (Josh Lawson), while also introducing a new character named Cole (Lewis Tan), an MMA fighter recruited to help save the world via fights to the death in an intergalactic tournament of ancient martial arts.
And if you're one for Mortal Kombat's signature fatalities, check out the official restricted trailer, which contains some extended fight scenes featuring juuust a bit more gore (OK, a lot more gore).
