Believe it or not, MoPOP had to battle every single museum that previously housed these movie props just to get them into the fantasy exhibition.
(You’re welcome.)
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (2010) is directed by Edgar Wright and based on a graphic novel series by Bryan Lee O’Malley. It follows the initially mundane life of quasi slacker Scott Pilgrim, whose life takes a turn when he falls for Ramona Flowers and must battle her seven evil exes to win her love.
Scott, much like a lot of us, is an unlikely hero. But even though he seems downtrodden and unsuccessful in love, he ultimately triumphs in the end. His colorful, arcade-style journey is a slice of hope for anyone who feels like the unlikely hero of their own story.
Fun fact: The actor portraying Scott Pilgrim, Michael Cera, plays bass proficiently. The other actors had to learn to play their instruments from scratch.
After seeing Ramona Flowers at a concert, Scott Pilgrim uses these comedic line drawings to depict the intriguing girl he is searching for.
When facing the Katayanagi Twins, a list of Ramona’s dreaded exes is revealed, outlining the opponents Scott must face in his “Ex” battles.
