Michael Matewauk is a Latinx writer living in Seattle. He also curates shows at his work studio in Ballard, Factory vs. Academy, that cross-pollinates artists with writers. Michael received a BA in Communication from the University of California, San Diego. He recently completed his latest book, The Modern Guide to Magical Realism: David Bowie Moon, about the aftermath of a 2013 Mexico City trip to search for literary icon Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
