MENTORING WORKSHOP – Public Scholars

Join members of this year's Pop Con Program Committee, which includes podcast hosts, journalists, scholars, book authors, writers for NPR Music, Pitchfork, the L.A. Times, and more, fora workshop-style session for emerging professionals interested in learning more about pathways into public scholarship and writing about music. The members of the Pop Con Program Committee will share about their work and will be available to answer questions. All Pop Con attendees are welcome to participate, but priority for active workshopping will be given to youth/emerging professionals. 
 
These mentoring sessions are supported by Critical Minded, an initiative to invest in cultural critics of color cofounded by The Nathan Cummings Foundation and the Ford Foundation.
