Pick Your MoPOP Quarantine House!
With so many avenues of fandom offered at the Museum of Pop Culture, we thought our version of The Quarantine House Meme would look a little more intriguing than what you may have seen come across your social media feeds so far.
For the uninitiated, the concept is simple: which house of individuals (outlined in the image above) would you hypothetically want to live with during a lockdown? Or in our case, during a stay-home, stay-safe order issued during a coronavirus pandemic.
With music, sci-fi, fantasy, video games, horror film, and more in the mix at our nonprofit museum, MoPOP's version of the meme presents fans with some tough choices. For example in House 1, living with Seattle music icon Kurt Cobain, everyone's favorite droid R2-D2, fantasy's wisest wizard Gandalf, and the always-upbeat video game character Mario seems pretty desirable. But with razor-handed dream-invader Freddy Krueger also in the picture, it's going to be tough for anyone in House 1 to get a good night's sleep anytime soon.
The rest of the housing setups feature similar pros and cons, so in this hypothetical MoPOP world you're going to have to make concessions somewhere. Which quarantine house would you choose? Let us know in the comments!
