Become a rock star with Seattle Children’s Theatre (SCT) and MOPOP. Learn acting skills, songwriting techniques, and more to bring your music to life. With instruction from SCT and MOPOP teaching artists, we’ll explore acting for the camera, develop skills to express character on film, learn the art and history of music videos, and write and film our own parody music videos on location at Seattle Center!

Calling all current and future kings, queens, and non-binary royalty! Explore self-expression in MOPOP’s drag-tastic summer camp! Led by Seattle performers and artists, you’ll investigate drag history and work together with local artists to create your own personas. You’ll choose your name, explore hair and makeup techniques, and develop your persona’s stage presence. At the end of the week, celebrate your new drag personas with a private showcase!
MOPOP will provide all campers with the basics for fabulosity including cosmetics, wigs, nails, and a costume closet to get creative with. Additional supplies such as single-use makeup or specialty props, wigs, or costumes may need to be purchased separately.

Take the stage in style! Drag 2.0 campers will work with local artists to amplify existing or new personas and ready them for a full show.
Explorations include custom costume design, developing a stage routine and story arc with dialogue, new forms of dance and movement, and leveling up core skills like hair, nails, and makeup. At the end of the week, campers will celebrate their new drag personas with a private showcase.

Attention all artists! A world of folklore and fantasy awaits! Drawing inspiration from MOPOP’s special exhibition, Asian Comics: Evolution of an Art Form, this camp explores the colorful world of comics. Join us on an epic adventure where you’ll meet iconic characters, discover legendary creators, and learn the rich history behind the multicultural genre and its most beloved stories. Guided by artist, writer, and adventurer extraordinaire Tessa Hulls, you’ll master the art of crafting your own comic book by writing and creating a unique story arc and bringing it to life through illustration and design. Grab your pencils and let your imagination run wild—we promise this will be an artistic adventure like no other!

NW Film Camp’s week-long day camps are designed to spark creativity and collaboration in aspiring filmmakers. Filmmaking Camps for ages 12-17 offer a deeper exploration of the craft, guiding participants through the entire filmmaking process from script development to final editing. Students create short films they will be proud to share with their communities! At NW Film Camp, we prioritize a fun and inclusive environment, fostering teamwork and encouraging the unique visions of each young filmmaker.
Filmmaker Camp Alumni are invited to join our Teen Filmmaker Lab for free!
Prepare for a quest with two Midwinter camps at MOPOP for different experience levels! Gamer’s Guild camp will help beginner players explore facets of the role playing game (RPG) extended universe such as character building and improv before being led through a campaign with experienced Dungeon Masters. Table Quest campers will experience expert gaming sessions allowing participants to practice their Dungeon Master and campaign creation skills. Sign your youth up for the fun, learning, and friends.
Partial and full scholarships are available for MOPOP camp programs. Scholarships are available on a first come, first served basis for a limited number of campers.
To register using a scholarship spot reservation, follow the steps below:
Installment plans are available regardless of financial need. All installments must be received by June 13, 2025. If tuition is not paid in full by the deadline, the program spot will be released and any installments paid will be refunded minus the $50 nonrefundable deposit.
