Meet the Host

Jeff Martin is the Host/Co-Creator of the Museum Confidential podcast and Director of Communications at Philbrook Museum of Art. In addition to his work in the museum space, Jeff is an author, editor, and Co-Founder/Executive Director of the nonprofit independent bookshop, Magic City Books. His books include The Customer is Always Wrong: The Retail Chronicles (Soft Skull Press), a National Book Critics Circle Award nominee and a Shelf Awareness Book of the Year and The Late American Novel: Writers on the Future of Books (Counterpoint), praised in the New Yorker, The Economist, and called “funny, poignant, relentlessly thought-provoking” by The Atlantic. He has contributed to Publishers Weekly, Architectural Digest, Bon Appétit, Poets & Writers, Salon.com , and National Public Radio. Jeff lives with his wife Molly (a baker) and their two dogs (Franny and Annie) in Tulsa.
