WEAPONS

BAGS AND BACKPACKS

Small bags and backpacks may be allowed in the museum.
Please leave your large bags and backpacks at home.
Bags larger than 20" x 13" inches must be checked in to the museum's coat check area for museum events.
Non-invasive bag checks will be conducted upon entry at all MOPOP events.

FOOD AND DRINK

UMBRELLAS

Umbrellas are not allowed in galleries. Only bring what you need. Coat check is currently closed.

BALLOONS AND FLOWERS

Balloons are prohibited. Fresh plants or flowers are prohibited unless approved in writing.

COSTUMES

COSTUME WEAPONS

Functional weapons are strictly prohibited.
Costume weapons must be inspected at the security station located at the event's entrance and must conform to state and federal law.
Projectile costume weapons must be rendered inoperable.
Costume swords must be tied to the costume so that they cannot be drawn.
Costume weapons will be tagged with a wristband after security inspection.
Individuals not willing to have their costume weapons inspected or tagged, or are not willing to comply with the above, will be asked to leave the premises.

HARASSMENT

Harassment of any kind is not tolerated.
Unacceptable behaviors include abusive, discriminatory, derogatory, or demeaning conduct or intimidation, harassing by any visitors to the museum.
Harassment includes offensive physical gestures or verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, religion, culture, disability; socially inappropriate behavior in public spaces (including event related content); deliberate intimidation, stalking or following; harassing photography or recording; sustained disruption of talks or other events; and inappropriate physical contact.
Any lewd or offensive behavior or language, using sexually explicit or offensive language or conduct, extreme profanity, obscene gestures, or racial, religious or ethnic slurs.
