ABOUT MY MEMBERSHIP

How do I visit the museum with my membership?

  • For the smoothest entry and check-in process, we highly recommend all members reserve their entry tickets before visiting the Museum. Go to www.MoPOP.org/Visit to reserve your tickets by selecting the day you want to visit and then logging in to your account in the top left corner of the screen.
  • Forgot to reserve your tickets? No problem! Go to the ticketing counter and show our ticketing representative your digital membership card or photo ID. They will help check you in so you can enjoy your day at the museum.
  • Memberships are available for use immediately after purchase with receipt or photo ID. Please keep in mind that guest passes are not available for use until received via email, which can take up to seven days to be delivered.

I purchased a membership over 7 days ago and have not received anything yet. What do I do?

Please contact us at Membership@MoPOP.org. You will be asked to confirm your email address, and any other important info. Your replacement digital fulfillment items (digital membership card, guest passes) will be emailed within 24 hours.

What is the Plus 1 Pass?

The $49 Plus 1 Pass is available to add one additional member to your Dual or Family membership. This is perfect for families with nannies, adult children, or a neighborhood kid that is always hanging out. The Plus 1 Pass is limited to one per membership and is not available to add mid-term.

Are my Membership fees tax deductible?

Yes! Individual, Dual and Family memberships are fully tax-deductible and the tax-deductibility of benefits received for the Visionary memberships are as follows:

$500 Producer: $376 may be tax-deductible
$1,000 Promoter: $778 may be tax-deductible
$2,500 Insider: $2,216 may be tax-deductible
$5,000 Creator: $4,556 may be tax-deductible
$10,000 + Icon:$9,556+ may be tax-deductible

Can I give a Membership as a gift?

Yes! Click the “Gift” button under the membership level you would like to give. You will be prompted to enter one recipient’s name and email address. You (purchaser) will receive a PDF voucher with redemption instructions that you can print and gift by hand or simply email to your recipient. Your gift recipient will then present the voucher at any ticketing counter at the museum, where our ticketing representatives will collect the remaining required information (email(s), secondary names, street address). Digital membership card(s) and guest passes will be emailed to your recipient within 7 days.

*IMPORTANT* GIFT MEMBERSHIPS ARE AN ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP THAT IS AVAILABLE TO USE FROM THE MOMENT OF PURCHASE AND EXPIRES 13 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE.


ABOUT MY MEMBER BENEFITS

I am having trouble accessing member-priced tickets online. What should I do?

The email you provided at the time of purchase is your login. If you have forgotten your password, click “Get my password” on the login screen and enter the email you provided at the time of purchase. If you are still experiencing issues, contact us at Membership@MoPOP.org and we can assist.

Who can be included on my membership?

  • Individual Membership includes one named individual
  • Dual Membership Includes two named individuals
  • Family, Producer, and Promoter memberships include two named adults, and up to five youths ages 5-17
  • Dual+1 and Family+1 memberships each include an additional named member
  • Insider, Creator, and Icon levels may name 3 adult members on their membership; please contact Advancement@ MoPOP.org for assistance
  • Members must be named at the time of purchase or upon your first visit to the museum
  • Member names may not be switched out until the next renewal
  • Membership benefits are for named members only and are not for use by schools or other organizational groups

Why did I only receive one digital membership card with my Dual or higher-level membership?

Memberships will be issued a digital membership card to each email registered to the account. If you would like to confirm or request a second email to be added to your membership, contact us at Membership@MoPOP.org.

What type of benefits do Pop Culture Visionary Members enjoy?

MoPOP relies on the financial support of our members and donors. Your gift of $500 or more helps us continue producing innovative exhibitions and community programs.

Visionary Members enjoy all Fan membership benefits plus greater behind-the-scenes access to the pop culture programs and content you love!

MEMBER CUSTOMER SERVICE

How can I update my contact information?

To update your mailing address, email address, or phone number please contact us at Membership@MoPOP.org, or contact our box office at (206) 770-2700.

Can I change a name on my membership?

MoPOP memberships benefits are non-transferrable. Name changes can be made when renewing or reinstating your membership. You may renew early to name a new individual on your membership.

Can my membership be refunded or revoked?

MoPOP Memberships are non-refundable and benefits are non-transferrable under any circumstances. Memberships are revocable. MoPOP reserves the right to refuse or revoke membership and/or deny admission without refund for inappropriate conduct, such as but not limited to exceeding daily admission limits or being disruptive to other visitors or staff.

MoPOP offers digital membership cards for your convenience and to reduce our environmental impact for all levels. Please remember, member benefits are non-transferable. ID may be required when presenting your digital membership card.

How do I use my digital membership card?

Digital cards function just like plastic membership cards. Please present your digital card and photo ID to the Ticketing Desk to check in and enjoy the museum! Keep in mind that we always recommend reserving your member tickets at www.MoPOP.org/Visit.

What if I prefer a plastic membership card?

Your digital membership card is unique to your membership and displays your name, membership level, expiration date, and a barcode for us to scan. Simply show your digital membership card and photo ID to our staff at the Ticketing Counter, MoPOP Shop, or at Culture Kitchen to take advantage of your member benefits!

How do I access my digital membership card?

Digital membership cards will be sent to the primary email address of every active member. Open the email on your mobile device and follow the instructions to download the card to your smartphone wallet. Android users may need to install Wallet Passes from the Play Store prior to download.

If you don’t receive an email or you have deleted the email, please contact us at Membership@MoPOP.org for a new email with link.

Where can I find my digital membership card?

Once downloaded, your digital cards will live in your smartphone's wallet.

I have a Dual or higher-level membership. Where is my additional card?

Dual, and Family memberships will be issued a digital membership card to each email registered to the account. If you would like to confirm or request a second email to be added to your membership, contact us at Membership@MoPOP.org.

What about my guest passes?

Currently, we do not have a way of accessing your guest passes through your digital card. You will receive your single-use digital guest passes via a separate email within 7 days of your membership purchase.

Will my digital card update when I renew my membership?

Yes! You only need to download your card once. After your membership has been fully processed your digital card will automatically update with your new expiration date, and any name changes you request. Please allow up to 7 days for processing.

What if I lost or deleted the email with my digital card link?

You can visit the museum anytime by showing your photo ID at the Ticketing Counter to verify your membership status. If you need us to re-send your digital card email, let us know by sending a message to Membership@MoPOP.org.

Can someone else use my digital membership card?

Membership benefits are non-transferable. You may be required to present your active MoPOP membership card and/or photo ID along with your ticket before entering the museum. The name on your member type entry ticket must match your photo ID or you may be denied entry.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

YES! Direct donations are tax-deductible. Please consult your tax advisor for more information. Experience Learning Community (dba MoPOP) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, ID# 91-1626784. We are happy to provide tax acknowledgement where appropriate and send mailed thank you receipts for most donations.

Is my gift eligible for employer matching?

YES! Increasing your support is easy to do when you take advantage of matching funds. MoPOP may be eligible for corporate matching funds through your employer. Please consult your HR department for your company’s requirements regarding matching gifts. If you need help information or assistance, please contact Advancement@MOPOP.org.

Do you accept gifts of stock?

Do you accept donations of artifacts for collections?

YES! We respectfully ask that your artifact be in good condition and released to the museum as a donation rather than a loan. For more information on what we specifically seek in terms of pop culture relevancy please contact Collections@MoPOP.org.

Do you have a planned giving program?

YES! Thank you for making MoPOP part of your legacy! If you are interested in including MoPOP in your estate plans, please contact Advancement@MoPOP.org. Please designate your gift to Experience Learning Community (dba MoPOP) tax ID# 91-1626784. We thank you for your consideration as you plan your estate.

What programs are funded by my gift?

Your gift to MoPOP is an investment in the future of our programming and the next generation of pop culture icons. Your unrestricted gift supports the museum in the ways that matter most including exhibitions, collections and preservation, education and outreach programs, museum operations costs, and caring for our one-of-a-kind building.
