MoPOP offers free general admission to furloughed federal employees
SEATTLE – The Museum of Pop Culture announced today that it will offer free general admission to furloughed federal employees plus one guest during the partial government shutdown.
"Providing a space that inspires and connects our communities is core to our mission, and we are proud to welcome federal employees and their families to experience pop culture in a unique and meaningful way," said MoPOP's Executive Director Alexis Lee.
MoPOP joins a number of museums across the country opening their doors to families impacted by the partial shutdown including, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Seattle Museum of Flight, Portland Art Museum, and others.
To receive free admission, visitors must show a current federal employee ID from January 21 through February 3.
