SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Museum of Pop Culture (MOPOP), in collaborationwith the Consulate General of India, Seattle, proudly presents the Indian FilmFestival, a three-day celebration of Indian cinema from March 21-23, 2025.Featuring a curated selection of films that explore themes of resilience,identity, and cultural heritage, the festival highlights the global influenceof Indian storytelling.
Kicking off the festival on March 21, MOPOP will host aspecial opening reception featuring remarks from key dignitaries, includingConsul General Shri Prakash Gupta, and MOPOP CEO Michele Y. Smith, with LindaLowry, City of Seattle Arts Commissioner, serving as Master of Ceremony. Theevening will also feature a Bollywood dance performance, followed by ascreening of English Vinglish, the acclaimed film aboutself-discovery and empowerment.

The festival continues over the weekend with screeningsof Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, a coming-of-age road trip film,and Raksha Bandhan, a heartfelt story about family and sacrifice.All screenings will take place at MOPOP’s Sound + Vision Theater, providing animmersive experience for audiences to engage with Indian cinema’s artistry andcultural significance.
