Plan Ahead Pricing

What is plan-ahead pricing?

Plan-ahead pricing means that different days and times have different prices. Typically, the further in advance you purchase your tickets, the more you save. This allows guests to choose the best day and time for their budget and schedule.

Why do ticket prices fluctuate?

Factors include museum capacity, seasonality, and ticket demand. In general, periods with higher estimated attendance will reflect higher pricing. This allows us to provide a positive experience for every guest and keep the flow of visitors more consistent.

How far in advance can I purchase tickets?

We release ticket dates periodically, typically 6-8 weeks in advance. Please check back regularly for availability.

Know Before You Go

How long should I expect to spend at MOPOP and how long can I stay at the museum?

Give yourself at least a few hours, but you are welcome to spend as much time as you like during your visit. With 140,000 square feet of immersive exhibits, galleries, and more, there's plenty to keep you busy all day long. You can renter the museum on the day of your ticket purchase by saving your receipt or digital ticket to show upon re-entry.

Where do I enter or check into the museum?

Enter at the dedicated East Entry, located on 5th Ave N. and Harrison St. Entry will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Can I be dropped off at MOPOP?

Individuals and groups can be dropped off at the turnaround at 5th Avenue N and Harrison (parking here is not allowed). View Map.

Can I apply a recent ticket purchase towards the price of a membership?

Absolutely! You can apply your ticket price towards a membership within three weeks of your initial visit. Contact Membership@MOPOP.org for details and assistance. Some restrictions may apply.

Are general admission and event tickets refundable?

No, general admission tickets and event tickets are not refundable as all sales are final.

Can groups visit MOPOP?

Yes! Make a group reservation here.

Is photography allowed in the galleries?

Photography is allowed. However, flash photography, tripods, and selfie sticks are prohibited. Any commercial or other unauthorized use of any transmission, picture, film/type, writing, drawing, or other depiction or description of any MOPOP name, mark, or logo is prohibited without prior specific written approval from the MOPOP PR department. MOPOP may photograph, film, or videotape visitors for educational and promotional purposes. Purchase and use of a ticket is implied consent for the use of the holder's likeness, voice, or video image for marketing purposes.

Can I bring a stroller?

Single strollers under 30” wide are permitted, though we strongly encourage guests to use umbrella strollers. Tandem strollers (double, triple, quad, etc.) including wagons are not permitted inside the museum. Additionally, only umbrella strollers will be allowed within certain exhibition spaces. Stroller parking is available throughout the museum.

Are pets allowed at MOPOP?

Sorry, no. Pets are not allowed anywhere within the complex. Service animals are permitted and should be checked in at the information desk in the lower lobby.

Can I bring food and drink into MOPOP?

Outside food and drink are prohibited. Food and drink are also prohibited in the gallery spaces. However, they are permitted in public areas, such as ticketing lobbies and retail stores.

Accessibility

Drop-off Area + Parking

A covered drop-off area is inside the 5th Avenue N and Harrison Street Entrance, next to a three-minute load/unload zone.
The 5th Avenue N parking garage, operated by Seattle Center, offers 24 accessible parking stalls including eight van accessible stalls.

Wheelchair Accessibility

MOPOP facilities are wheelchair accessible.

Six elevators serve the entire multi-level building.
All entrances are equipped with electric door openers. Note: Within the museum, exhibit rooms do not have electric door openers.
Interior counters stand at 34” high.
Wheelchair accessible seats are available throughout the main music venue, Sky Church, and all exhibitions. In Sound + Vision theater, there is limited wheelchair seating areas.

Wheelchair Loans

Wheelchairs are available at our main ticketing desk at the 5th Avenue N and Harrison Street Entrance.
A piece of identification must be left with the Visitor Services Representative for wheelchair loan.
Wheelchairs are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
The number of wheelchairs is limited.
Wheelchairs cannot be reserved in advance.

Noise-Cancelling Headphone and Sensory Bag Loan

Child-sized noise cancelling headphones and sensory bags are available at our main ticketing desk at the East Entrance (5th Avenue N and Harrison Street).

Sensory bags contain noise cancelling headphones and fidget tools
A piece of identification must be left with the Visitor Service Representative for the loan.
Adult and child sizes are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The number of headphones is limited.

Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Lanyards

The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Lanyard is a simple tool for you to voluntarily share that you have a disability or condition that may not be immediately apparent – and that you may need a helping hand, understanding, or more time
Lanyards are available from the main ticket counter on a first-come, first-served basis and can be kept after your visit ‍

Sensory Friendly Programs

Sensory-Friendly Programs are an opportunity for adults and families to experience the museum with lowered volume and light levels.
Programs welcome anyone who can benefit from a low-sensory museum environment.

See sensory ratings for each MOPOP exhibition. These sheets indicate the different types and levels of stimulation that you can expect in each space.

Caregiver Policy

Caregivers who are accompanying a guest to assist them with their visit may receive complimentary admission. Please request this at the onsite ticket counter.

Service Animals

Service animals that perform tasks (eg. seeing eye dogs) are allowed. Pets and emotional support animals are not allowed.

Restrooms

We offer single occupancy family/ all-gender restrooms throughout the museum
There are changing tables in every museum restroom (men's, women's and family/ all-gender)

All video content is captioned
