MoPOP's Youth Advisory Board

MoPOP youth advisory board

Have an interest in working for a cultural institution or non-profit? Are you passionate about film, music, public programming, social media, or curatorial design? MoPOP’s Youth Advisory Board is what you’ve been looking for, and we’re currently accepting applications for the 2024-2025 cohort!

The Youth Advisory Board (we call it the YAB) allows local youth to take an active role in museum programming for iconic events like Sound Off!, the annual Science Fiction and Fantasy Short Film Festival, a YAB selected project, and more!

This once-a-year opportunity allows high schoolers aged 15-18 to join and continue in the program for up to three years. Returning members will have the opportunity to step into leadership roles overseeing multi-year initiatives, receive long-term mentorship from program leaders, and shape the YAB program itself. Meetings take place both remotely and on-site at the museum twice per month throughout the school year (September - May).
